We are thrilled to invite adolescents and educators from around the world, to Krefeld, Germany to attend the fifth instalment of Global Montessori Games. While our host at Bischöfliche Maria-Montessori-Gesamtschule are still developing the programme, they have already shared with us plans and potential activities that promise to offer a perfect blend of sport, education, culture and fun, all designed to create amazing memories and lasting friendships.

Since 1977, their unique campus has integrated a kindergarten, elementary, and comprehensive school, and was purposely built on the principles of hands-on, experiential learning, while fostering a community spirit that is open, supportive, and internationally minded. This means we’ll be staying in a place designed for discovery, with fantastic facilities and green spaces right on your doorstep – the ideal home base for a week of adventure and connection.

Nestled in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia, Krefeld perfectly blends nature with rich history and sporting passion, meaning our provisional list of activities taps into everything that makes this region special. From visiting the medieval castle and touring the museum, to exploring the lush green forests and parks, there will be plenty for participants to delve into and discover, as they share this experience and learn with one another.

The sporting activities available will be diverse and inclusive, ensuring that there is something for everyone and all can participate and contribute. From playing team games like football and handball, outdoor activities like hiking and bike riding to hitting the ice for ice hockey and ice skating, there will be many choices for participants to get active and enjoy the game, in collaboration, instead of competition, as we to embody the Olympic spirit of solidarity, fun and fair play.

There will also be opportunity for creative hands-on fun, with workshops inspired by Krefeld’s historical label of the “Velvet and Silk City”. They’ll be able to share their work, ideas and culture, while taking these experiences and memories back home with them.

This is just a taste of what’s to come, while the school’s GMG Committee continue to craft a program that is fun, engaging, and truly unforgettable. For more information or to register to patriciate, follow this link;

We welcome schools from around the globe to join our mission, and to share in this amazing experience.
