Programme GMG 2023 – Norway

The second global event in this form for students between 14 and 17 years old is a winter edition. Seven Montessori schools from all over the world will come to Davinci Montessoriskole Bergen in Norway. A mix of activities (sports, culture and acquaintance) will be offered here.

This is the provisional programme.

Mon Day 1: Arrival

Teams will be greeted at the station by their host families.

(Small games, music, snacks and photos at the host school to get to know each other.)

Dinner with host families.
Times are unknown, as teams will arrive throughout the day.
Tue Day 2: Norwegian Cultural Winter Sports

Participants will have the choice between several winter sports.

This will be base on individual interest and ability

Lunch at school

Opening Ceremony and Cultural Evening

Teams will each give a cultural performance from their home land

A cultural market place will allow teams to share gifts and snacks form their home countries

Wed Day 3: Cultural day
Trip to Bergen
Packed lunch in the city
Museum Tour
Free Time in the City
Return to host families
Thu Day 4: SDG day
Lunch will be provided to eat along the way
Fun evening together

Teachers Workshop

Teachers will get the opportunity to network and share ideas on Montessori education, as well as review the Global Montessori Games.

If anyone would like to present something, please let us know in advance

Fri Day 5: Celebration Day

Workshops

Participants will complete different sporting, educational and cultural activities, which they have chosen to attend, prior to the event

Closing Ceremony and Party

This is the chance to have fun, dance, sing and celebrate the exchange of culture and friendships made over the previous days.

Sat Day 6: Farewell day

Farewell

Host families will drive their guests to the station, depending on what time their group leaves.
