After much deliberation with our hosts at Morningside Montessori, we at GAMES feel it necessary to make the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Global Montessori Games in Cyprus, planned for May this year.
With the current uncertainty surrounding regional airspace and the travel connections required for many of our participants, we believe it is wiser to postpone the event to 23–29 May 2027, to ensure that our aim of connecting young people and educators through peace education is not hindered.
While we understand that this decision may negatively impact the hopes and plans of many of our friends from around the world, we feel compelled to do so given the current situation.
We remain committed to promoting peace and contributing to it through education, sport, and cultural exchange.
