Looking Forward to a Bright and Busy Future – Events All Over the World

As a new school year begins, and we prepare to travel to our autumn events for 2025, our immediate focus is on travel plans and collaborating with out hosts for the upcoming Global Montessori Games.
The next elementary installment will commence just one week from now, where we will welcome young people and educators from all over the world to Izmir, Turkey, for the third event of this kind. Built in the grassy hills between the Izmir mountains and Aegean Sea, our host school – Bademler Montessori – is surrounded by beauty. They have created a wonderful programme that is full of fun and engaging sporting, educational and cultural activities, that promote peace, friendship, health and sustainability promising a memorable experience for all who attend.
Just over a month later, GAMES will return to South America for the next adolescent version of Global Montessori Games, as we visit Santiago, Chile, hosted by our friends at Colegio Pucalán Montessori. Located between and the Andes Mountains, their school is perfectly nestled between the rich history, cultural heritage and natural beauty of the region, and is sure to offer an educational and cultural experience like no other.
Although our current schedule is very busy, we must keep one eye on the future and on continued opportunities to connect, learn and grow together. Therefore, we would like to share our plans for next year and beyond, as we visit more countries, experience different cultures, and provide unique learning experiences that further promote peace, sustainability and cultural understanding.
2026 will see us connect with even more people and organisations, as we collaborate with our partners at Montessori Europe for their Annual Congress in Riga, Latvia in March, then return to the MMUN Rome Conference in April, to engage their young delegates in sports and movement, as we promote our shared goal of guiding young people to create a better world in the future.
Of course, we also have our own events planned too, with the fourth edition of Elementary GMG heading to Latsia, Cyprus, by Morningside Montessori between 16th – 23rd May 2026. As well as enjoying pristine beaches and stunning landscapes, participants will explore ancient ruins, participate in hands-on activities and traditions, and hike through stunning national parks — all while forming lifelong friendships with peers from around the world.
We have already received a lot of interest, so encourage you to register interest as soon as possible. For detailed information on the schedule, activities, and how to participate, please visit the link; https://montessorigames.org/elementary-gmg-2026-cyprus/
The adolescent version will be held at Bischöfliche Maria-Montessori-Gesamtschule, Krefeld, Germany, offering a blend of nature, rich history and sporting passion, and celebrating everything that makes the North Rhine-Westphalia region special. From visiting the medieval castle and touring the museums, enjoying outdoor activities and exploring the lush green forests and parks, to participating in collaborative sports that are diverse and inclusive, there will be something for everyone, with a programme that is fun, engaging, and truly unforgettable. Although we have yet to announce them, we already have concrete plans in motion for events in 2027, as we travel to India for the Elementary Global Montessori Games, and then to Sweden and Morocco, respectively, for more impact and hands-on learning within Sustainable Development Games. As always, each event will be unique, as we go to another country and immerse ourselves in different educational and cultural activities, but this promises to be an extra special year, as we host our first events in Asia and Africa.
Conversations are on-going for 2028 and beyond, as we look to further develop our global network and reach, with potential hosts coming from all over the world. While we assess proposals and begin the planning process, we still welcome applications from hosts in the future.
If interested in this unique opportunity to host such an event, and in sharing your country, culture and values with the wider Montessori community, we welcome you to submit a proposal: fill in this form:
