While students from all over the world came together to tackle global issues – just like in the real United Nations – we made sure to kickstart each day with movement, fun, and connection.
On the opening day and every morning after, we got active with a wide range of sports and games. Students could choose from different activities or even suggest their own. From basketball to spontaneous games from around the world, the atmosphere was full of energy, laughter, and teamwork. And during the Cultural Performance Night we turned the venue into one big dance party! Thanks to the incredible spirit of the students and the international vibe, everyone hit the dance floor. A magical night of music, culture, and pure joy!
It was amazing how quickly connections were made, friendships formed, and how at home everyone felt in such a short time. That’s what GAMES is all about: bringing people together through sport, shared culture, and shared experiences.
Now… on to the next! Next week we will be in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, for the Sustainable Development Games – and we can’t wait to reunite with friends and meet new changemakers from around the globe.
