Sofia, with its surrounding mountains, lakes and nature reserves, is a perfect place to explore this topic, as the children immerse themselves in nature, investigate the local wildlife and discover the importance of biodiversity.
The programme has also been designed to offer varied practical outdoor learning opportunities that allow hands-on experience working with nature sustainably, as they plant trees and care for the environment, build bird houses to help protect native species, and search for life on and below land through exploring the local mountains, meadows, rivers and caves.
This promises to be another fun-filled learning experience for all involved and an opportunity to make an impact on the local community in which we will work during the event, as well as the education and understanding of those who attend, long after they have returned home.
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals have always been an important part of our mission, and we are now implementing them throughout all of our events, by asking the host school to choose those that are most important to them and their community.
We welcome you to join us as we raise awareness, offer hands-on learning activities, and inspire young people to make a positive impact on their world today, while becoming more active and engaged world citizens of tomorrow.
