Ricardo brings together multiple roles that perfectly reflect his mission and impact: he is the founder of Onda Solidáriaand Director of Sustainability and International Relations at Fluminense Football Club. Across all these roles, his focus is clear: creating sustainable opportunities for young people through sport, education, and community engagement.
Onda Solidária is an inspiring initiative that connects sport, education, and community action to create real and lasting opportunities for young people in Brazil. At its core lies a deep commitment to sustainability — social, educational, and human — strengthening communities by investing in youth and empowering them to shape their own futures. This vision strongly aligns with Global Association of Montessori Education and Sport(GAMES). For both organizations, sustainability is not a slogan, but a daily practice: inclusion, responsibility, long-term thinking, and using sport and education as forces for positive change.
During Ricardo’s visit, we explored concrete ways to collaborate, including the exciting idea of organizing a future GAMES event in Brazil. The shared values, openness, and ambition made these conversations feel natural and full of promise.
Ricardo also gave a powerful presentation at MC Agora (Montessori College Nijmegen & Groesbeek, The Netherlands), where he spoke about chasing dreams, resilience, and staying true to your purpose. His story resonated deeply with students and staff, sparking reflection and inspiration.
In addition, we introduced Ricardo at NEC Nijmegen, where meaningful discussions followed about potential collaborations with Fluminense Football Club. Ranging from sustainability and youth development to education, exchange, and broader social impact.
Beyond the projects and plans, what stood out most was the personal connection. Meeting new friends, recognizing shared values, and feeling a common mission is where real change begins.
Grateful for this meeting and excited to continue chasing dreams together.
PEACE,
Global Association of Montessori Education and Sport
