On this day — exactly 7 years ago — Jeroen Gremmen and Roelant Wijngaards came up with the idea of GAMES, inspired by Judith Cunningham during a Montessori Model United Nations teachers training workshop at the Montessori Europe Congress in Sofia, Bulgaria.
At this same congress, they met Aiden Bloodworth, who from that moment on joined them, and has since helped shape and strengthen GAMES in countless ways.
Together, they began creating what would grow into a global movement connecting Montessori students and educators through sport, education, and shared culture.
In just two weeks, they will celebrate our tenth event, a milestone that beautifully reflects how one inspired idea can unite people around the world.
PEACE,
Global Association of Montessori Education and Sport
