The next installment of the Elementary GMG is to take place in October this year, in Sofia, Bulgaria, which promises to be a fun-filled week with a fantastic programme now confirmed. We will welcome participants from China, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Nepal, Germany, Scotland and India, offering a great mix of countries and cultures.
It is also a special occasion for us at GAMES, as we return to the place where we first met and came up with the idea for our first event. We look forward to working closely with our host schools; 191 OU Otets Paisii – Zheleznitsa and Bulgarsko Shkolo, and celebrating another memorable experience.
This will be followed by the next Sustainable Development Games, in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, as we return to the host of our first event; Montessori College Nijmegen and Groesbeek. This will be an adolescent event, held in April 2025, that will combine sports, education and shared culture with hands-on learning activities focused around SDG Goal 13: Climate Action.
We also have concrete plans in motion for upcoming events in Chile, Turkey, South Africa and Mexico, as well as on-going discussions for many others, of varied types and in many different countries, that would see us visit 5 continents in the next 3 years.
We are overwhelmed by the amount of interest shown from our growing global network, excited by the possibility of connecting with more people within the Montessori community and beyond, and working together to make a lasting impact on the people and places we work with.
