Last week, Jeroen Gremmen and Roelant Wijngaards from GAMES visited the Bischöfliche Maria-Montessori Gesamtschule in Krefeld, Germany, the host school for the Global Montessori Games 2026.

The students had been working on the project throughout the entire week. During their project week, the student council showed remarkable initiative and teamwork: they set up working groups, divided roles, and even compiled a provisional programme for next year’s event.

It was truly inspiring to see how much these young people had achieved, and how deeply they embodied the Montessori spirit of independence, collaboration, and responsibility.

The Bischöfliche Maria-Montessori Gesamtschule is a Catholic Montessori school guided by Maria Montessori’s principles, helping students grow into responsible and compassionate members of society.
